Some good news in the Upstate NY area. The 2nd theater is open at Adult World on Rts 9&20 in Rensselaer NY (East Greenbush), just across the river from downtown Albany. The theater is 2x as big as the first one, seats 13 in 3 rows, plenty of room and DARK !! The kind of dark where it takes your eyes a few minutes to adjust when you enter.
The new theater is showing straight films and the original theater is primarily gay films. Admission to BOTH theaters is one flat fee of $10, this gets you into the video arcade area as well. The arcade is still available on it's own for $5 in paper coupons to use in the video booths. Earlier this year the bathroom was given a fresh coat of paint, a new sink and hot air hand dryer. The booth area was repainted. Theaters and booths are open 9am - 11pm seven days a week.
The new theater is what a theater should be and I encourage couples to check it out! Perhaps the infamous couple Dave & Diane from the former Cinema Art in Troy NY could be coaxed into making an appearance!
